February Glossybox

So this is my second Glossybox I have received and so far am thoroughly enjoying getting little beauty samples through my door each month. I preferred this box to the last one so thought I would share with you what I received.

Glossybox-£10 a month plus p&p

This box was the Valentines Edition and it came in a gorgeous shiny baby pink box with a picture of a big hot pink bow on the lid. Inside it was also tied with hot pink ribbon as opposed the the usual pale pink ribbon.
As I mentioned, I really liked everything in this box, my only disappointment was that I already had the Mememe Highlighter, but its so lovely I can always use a second one!

The products included this month were;
1) Rituals Magic Touch Whipped Body Cream

Glossybox say that this is an 'Ultra-rich whipped body creme that intensively nourishes and firms the skin.'  It smells amazing, similar to a rose scent but slightly sweeter. So far I've only used it the once but it is extremely moisturising, and I'm excited to see what benefits regular use of this will provide.

2) Micabella Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in Deep Secret
This is a lovely eyeshadow. Its a shimmery light brown/bronzey colour which isn't too overpowering even though its extremely pigmented. I'm not much of an eyeshadow geek and in fact rarely wear it but I can see myself getting along with this.

3) Mememe Cosmetics Beat The Blues Highlighter in Oyster Gold
As I mentioned previously I already have a bottle of this. I'm a massive fan of the colour of this and it gives a lovely glow in the summer especially if worn with a tan. It can be used as a highlighter on the cheekbones/brow bones but alternatively can be mixed together with foundation to give a gorgeous all over glow. I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff this in once applied to my face but it can also be dabbed on with the fingers. My only dislike with this product, and it may be the same with all cream/liquid highlighters, is that if rubbed in it will remove your foundation which is quite annoying.

4) Figs and Rouge Rambling Rose Lip, Face & Body Balm
This is such a good, moisturising balm! Its brilliant because its one of those products where a little goes a LONG way! You only need a tiiiiiiny dab of this to completely moisturise your lips, elbows or even knees! The texture of this is slightly odd, its almost like its got tiny balls in, but once applied these disappear leaving lovely, smooth skin. It has quite a strong scent of Rose which is the one thing about this product I'm not a massive fan of, but otherwise its a winner!

5) Miners Cosmetics Lip Colour in Dreamer

This is my favourite product  from this months box. Miners is quite a cheap drugstore make-up brand and so my snooty alter-ego assumed I wouldn't particularly like this. Especially as its quite an unusual purpely, pink colour in the bullet and has a frosty, shimmery finish, which I assumed would look quite childish. However, I'm pleasantly surprised! I really like the colour, its not too overpowering and the shimmer isn't too much. I think I may go as far to say I'm a shimmery lipstick convert!

Andddddd here's a little swatch for you of the eyeshadow, lipstick and highlighter.
What did you think of the Feb Glossybox? Were you a fan or not really?

Review- Look Beauty Brow Perfect

Ignore the fact my eyebrows are horrifically wonky...

Two months ago I would never have dreamed of filling in my eyebrows. Their pretty big and dark as it is and I never wanted to accentuate that. I was terrified that if I filled them in I'd end up looking like I was trying to channel the 'Scousebrow', which as I have mentioned before I cannot stand the look of.
Howeverrrrrr, I was converted by the Soap and Glory 'Arch de Triumph' eyebrow pencil and whilst on the Look Beauty website the other day I popped this little nifty number in my basket. It retails for £11.99 however I got it during a half price offer so it was only £5.99, bargain!
It has a selection of 7 different brow colours so there is guaranteed something to suit everyone. The kit also contains a small brush for applying, a pair of mini tweezers and an fixing gel.
The colours are all very pigmented and have good lasting power. I'm also a fan of the fixing gel to keep brows tame all day. Unfortunately though the cute little tweezers are crap. They don't 'spring' like normal tweezers, once you pinch them together they the stay together. Also the brush is slightly too small for my liking and I fins it's difficult to use due to this.
All in all though I am a fan of this kit and its deffinately made me want to try others like the Sleek and Benefit ones.
